“Brammo Has Changed My Opinion on E Bikes”
Someone who wrote a negative review about electric motorcycles four years ago has a change of heart in a recent encounter with a Brammo.
A lot has happened in 4 years in the ev market. 🙂
Thank you for being open minded and giving electric motorcycles another chance!
By the way, in your “Electric Bikes, Again?” article, when you refer to the Electric Pizza Delivery Bike, I thought you were referring to this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n17B_uFF4cA. Good for a chuckle around town, if not a lap around a race track.
Why was everyone laughing at him?
I’m not sure where to begin to explain this. In Holland, there are lanes of traffic set aside for bicycle traffic. Scooters are allowed to use these bicycle lanes. Hearing a scooter *pretend* to make gasoline engine noises, and realizing that those pretend noises are actually *recognizable* words, is very likely what they’re laughing at.
The scooter is playing a recording of a human voice that parodies the sounds made by a gasoline engine. When the scooter is first turned on, the recording sounds like “Domino’s, Domino’s, do the Domino’s”. As the throttle is opened, the rising RPMs of a gasoline engine are simulated with “mmmmm!”, “Domino’s!”, and finally “pizza!”.
Please let me know if this explanation helps.
Aahhhh! Haha! Got it! I had the volume down when I watched it. Haha! That is pretty funny!
